Research & Reports Article Our Three-Year Strategic Plan (2024 to 2027) Download Right now, food insecurity rates in Canada are at a record high. A staggering 8.7 million people live with food insecurity. It’s deeply alarming—but as our new strategic plan shows, it’s also galvanizing. In our strategic plan, we’ve outlined how we’ll make the next three years count. We’ll confront this crisis, while continuing to nurture community spaces of belonging and joy. Three core considerations are at the heart of this plan. 1. Because people who face systemic discrimination disproportionately experience food insecurity, equity and reconciliation will guide all aspects of our work. 2. Building on the progress we’ve made over the past decade, we’ll deepen our impact by focusing on how we partner. 3. And to boost our collective impact, we’ll work holistically: We’ll coordinate our efforts across internal departments and across our partnerships. We’ve organized our work across five strategic priorities: Priority 1: Deepen and diversify our partnerships with community food organizations Priority 2: Mobilize for change Priority 3: Launch 340 Gerrard—our national site and a Community Food Centre for Downtown East Toronto Priority 4: Maximize our organizational strength Priority 5: Inspire new and sustainable resources To learn more, download the plan.
