When does your site selection for new CFCs start?
We aim to announce the next round of partner sites at the beginning of each calendar year, which means our site selection process is fully underway during the fall season. That said, there is no official start date to our selection process. We are keen to hear from interested organizations all year round, and should the opportunity be just right we would not hesitate to announce a new partner during the year. Please note that if you do contact us during a time when we are not actively looking for new sites, your organization's information is entered into a database that feeds into the site selection process once it resumes. Please read Becoming a CFC for more information. 

Do you build CFCs outside of Canada?
We are a national organization committed to working with partner organizations to build a network of Community Food Centres across Canada. Our goal is to build 15 partner CFC across the nation by 2017. While we prioritize building sites across Canada, we are always eager to hear what is happening in other parts of the world. Please feel free to contact us at info@cfccanada.ca and your questions/inquiry will be directed to the appropriate person. 

Will you partner with an individual?
No, we only partner with qualified charitable organizations. 

I want to work with CFCC but I don't want to become a full CFC. How can I get involved?
No problem! There are a few way you can engage in our work. 

The easiest way to stay connected with what's happening at CFCC and our partner CFCs is to subscribe to our e-newsletter and follow us on Facebook or Twitter. You can also become a member of The Pod, our online knowledge exchange. The Pod is a place where we share ideas, tools and resources relevant to the community food sector and people interested in food system issues. Information on The Pod is structured in the form of learning modules that contain videos, written resources, links and other materials.
