When we walked into the room at the 2017 Terroir Symposium, we were amazed at how many faces we already knew. Chefs, farmers, and food-lovers are some of the strongest supporters we have, as they know the power of food not only to bring joy, but to also build health and community. And Terroir brings together so many of these innovative and creative influencers from the field of hospitality to learn, network, and build community.
This year's theme for the Terroir Symposium was celebrating Canadian gastronomy in honour of Canada's 150th birthday, reflecting on the history, diversity and leadership of our culinary landscape. We were so thankful to be Terroir's charitable partner for the second year in a row, helping us raise funds and awareness for our work helping low-income community across Canada build health, hope and justice through the power of food.
"Terroir is proud to support the work of CFCC as an agency that works across Canada to ensure food justice for all," said Arlene Stein, Executive Director of Terroir. "We believe that the leadership that CFCC takes in community development and food security and sovereignty for all Canadians is a model for success in ensuring healthy, nutritious and delicious food options for everyone."
Thank you Terroir for supporting good food for all!
