In an op-ed for the Toronto Star, Nick Saul writes that while bigger grocery bills will mean more stress and fewer choices for people already struggling to put food on the table, Canada's food insecurity problem goes far beyond the rising cost of food.
"COVID-19 has stretched too many Canadians to their limit. The rising cost of food is going to push us all even further. But with a vaccine on the horizon, and the opportunity to reimagine our country and our world, now is the time to double down on substantive solutions based firmly in human rights and livable incomes."
