Made with Love is a partnership between Community Food Centres Canada and local chefs to provide healthy meals for our most vulnerable neighbours.
This initiative is part of our Good Food Access Fund, which provides emergency relief during the COVID-19 crisis through take-away meal programs, delivery, food hampers and grocery gift cards. It’s also a way for Community Food Centres Canada to work with chefs and restaurants who themselves have been hard hit by COVID-19.
Five high-quality, nutritious recipes have been developed that are prepared using the highest food safety standards. Each meal costs $8 to prepare and can be easily reheated in the microwave, the oven, or on the stovetop.
Meals are being delivered through Toronto organizations that are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 and ever deepening food insecurity crisis. We’ve ramped up quickly and will soon be preparing and delivering 2,400 meals a week.
