Community Food Centres Canada works with a select number of organizations each year to develop responsive, financially stable Community Food Centres.
At the end of our pilot phase in 2012, there were three Community Food Centres in Ontario: The Stop Community Food Centre in Toronto; Perth's The Table Community Food Centre; and The Local Comunity Food Centre in Stratford.
In 2014, we launched the Regent Park Community Food Centre in Toronto, and in March 2015, we launched NorWest Co-op Community Food Centre in Winnipeg, the first Community Food Centre outside of Ontario. In the fall of 2015, we launched Dartmouth North Community Food Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We also recently began working with The Alex Community Health Centre to develop Calgary's first Community Food Centre and Neighbour to Neighbour Centre to develop Hamilton's first community Food Centre.
